Adult Literacy. We have recently begun our Adult Literacy program, which will include both classes for adults in either reading of native Khmer or English, as well as portable libraries for the villages. Each village will receive a portable library, which is a wheeled cart transported by village volunteers as a modest lending library. To accelerate the literacy efforts, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport is implementing the Country Literacy Acceleration Plan with Unesco’s support.
