Wonderful Post… this post is for 2014, but I have found the great names in this list who still lead the market in 2016 and the options are “WooCommerce” and “Easy Digital Downloads”. The both are really awesome and ruling WordPress Plugins.
Is this simply a button creation plugin or can you transact on your website page.
There are two versions of X-Cart: SaaS (the hosted version) and self-hosted (a one-time licensing fee for the DIY people). As such, it requires manual setup and coding skills, but on the plus side, WordPress can be managed from within X-Cart. In the long-run, this can be a cost-effective option for large WordPress website stores that want to do everything themselves. There’s a free version and a trial of its hosted version One-time licensing cost for bigger businesses A hosted option for those who prefer SaaS Developer-friendly Over 120 payment gateways by default Code access makes it limitlessly customizable The hosted version is expensive compared to other hosted services Small- / medium-sized stores may find it too advanced Coding knowledge is necessary to take advantage of everything 12. 1. Will customers are able to cancel recurring membership? (and if they do, what will happen to their listing once period expires)? 2. Is it possible that reccuring membership have a different price? So initial signup is $10 and every other period is $5 1. Yeah, users have such an option: https://www.ait-themes.club/documentation/#paypal-subscriptions-plugin 2. It’s not possible by default, but you could manage it by creating different users packages: https://www.ait-themes.club/doc/users-registration-packages-options/
@Paul, As far as I know that’s the only thing you can do as a seller. It’s clearly an intermittent issue on the PayPal’s end. Karen Reliford I’m very new to WP Paypal. I have been able to get the Add to Cart button to work, and I think I have all the settings correct, however, I keep getting an error that this does not seem to be set up properly. My website is not yet published as I’m still developing and testing and I don’t want to publish it until I know the payment processing will work. Any suggestions on how I can complete this testing and get the integration to paypal to work properly would be greatly appreciated. What are you doing for customers who cancel at the PayPal site? That is - they choose to pay via paypal so they punch out to the PayPal site, but there they choose to "Cancel and return to store page"...
This app made it so much easier for me to set up my site! I love that my prospective clients are able to use the "View Cart" feature. With my site, I'm happy with the free version. On another site I'm helping develop though, we'll be getting the pro version closer to the launch date. Thank you!
What is the suitable page where the customer should be redirected after a successful payment? I don’t get it? I mean, if he paid, it seems to me that he will be in the loop if I send him again to the registration page. After successfull registration process is user always redirected to the homepage with notification message displayed in header of website. In case of payments, you can select in Theme Options page where is user redirected after successfull or unsuccessfuly payment process – more information are available in documentation of appropriate payments plugin.
